Experience in the area:I have been employed by the same Gm dealer for 18 years and and a ASE master technician. I work at a Pontiac and GMC truck store. Served a a lead technician when dealership was on a team system.
I just recently moved to a Buick,Hummer,Saab Store when my franschise was purchased by this dealership.

Question
when car is started with factory remote and warmed up ,cold air comes out center vent only but when key is put in and turned on heater works normal. what could be the problem?

Hi Gary:
their is either a code in the system or a malfunction of some kind. Does this have auto climate contro? Maning digital controls for the temp setting? Early 2005 models had an issue with the HVAC control head being bad they had a redesigned control head that would address that issue. But Like I said ther can be a code in the system and that is why it's acting like that.
