Question

Compartment
I have an 88 pontiac sunbird convertible GT turbo. I've been told its pretty rare. One of the lines attach to a three-way joint and come out of the part on the top of the engine and ends up just hanging down into an empty space in a protected compartment in the front of the car. it looks like it should attach to something. but i dont see anything for it to attach to. Do you know where i can find a diagram or something that shows exactly where everything attaches to and what it is?

Answer
Hey Travis:

I'll assume that is a vacuum hose?? The pisture is not all that great. with the engine running if there is vaccum on the hose that is what it is and My guess is it's for a vacuum "ball" it's a reserve tank for vacuum when the car is going up a hill pr under turbo boost It's so the cruise control "if equipped" and the HVAC doors will work when the engine is low on vacuum. If you look at the emission label in the engine compartment or on the under side of the hood it should show all the vauum lines and where ther go if it's still there. good luck :)
