Question I have been reading about the starter noise problem and that is exactly what mine is doing. Where is the starter located and does this cause any damage to the flywheel?
Answer Hi Wayne:
Yes any kind of noise from the starter is not good if it's making a grinding noise it will damage/is damaging the flywheel. It's loaced on the left side of the engine at the bottom of the engine block. The left side of the engine is the side closest to the radiator.
Good luck :)
