Question We are getting an error message every time the car sits for an hour or so (charged parked).. The car starts but sounds as if it does not want to. The time clock is also messed up even though we correct ti everytime we get in car. We have called the dealer and GM.. They donot know why this error message is coming on..Now the dealer wants to keep the car and start charging me money.. Do you have any ideawhy this error message is coming on?? If so what would it cost to get it fixed. We have 39000 miles on this car.. Now it it starting to go.. Please help. Thanks

the radio is bad in this car. that error message is for the cd changer in the radio. Dealers do not repair the radios. We send then out to be repaired or order an exchange radio from an AC deloc repair center. with 39K on the car it's out of warranty so it's a repair that is going to cost you to get the radio replaced. Usually the radio's are around $250.00 + labor to replace it withc is in the area of an hour to an hour and a half labor. This issue usually happens after the battery died and the car has to be jump started or the battery was/is real weak when you start the car. Good luck :)
