Question hi todd i have a 95 and a 97 sunfire that i want to trade engines in is this possible in any way?I know that there always changing so even if i have to strip the old on to the new thats ok.Its the 97 going in to the 95.so anything you know about this would be awesome thanks //Allan(barnyardmacanic
Answer Hi Allan:
The engine will interchange as far as the size of the engine but that is as far as it goes. The 95 is an OBD 1 engine the 97 is an OBD II engine all the electronics are different which means the engine wire harness and engine computer are different as well. So unless you have a donor car to switch all the parts you need this is not really feasible. Good luck :)
