Question after inserting ignition key it will not turn forward. will turn back to accessory but not forward to start.

I think you have an issue with the ignition lock cylinder or the mechanism between the lock cylinder and the ignition switch. what may have happened here is the retainer in the lock cylinder that holds the tumblers in place for the cylinder may have come loose and it jamming the cylinder up when you try to turn it forward. the column is going to have to come apart to see just what happend here. the real issue is going to be trying to get it apart. in order to remove the cylider propelry it has to be able to be turned forward to remove which means more of the column will have to be disassembled in order to get this apart.. good luck :)
