Question Hard to start sometimes, engine turns over longer than normal. While driving down the highway would shut off. Did this several times and had to set a few min. before it would start.First problems a while back it was worse with around 25% tank, but would start back up while coasting down highway. This last time we would have to pull over and wait a few min. Was about a 400 mile trip and started after 100 miles but last 150 miles ran perfect. Still slow to start. Did not mater amount of gas in tank.

My first thought is a bad fuel pump. You going to have to catch it when it acts up and see if there is indded adiquite fuel pump pressure to run the car. this car needs 45 spi to run correctly. you can also check that when you crank the car that you have enough pressure it should build right away the pressure tap is on the engine fuel rail by the power steering pump. if this does have a bad pump do yourself a favor and replace the fuel filter as well.
