Poodles - Digestive/stomach problems

Expert: Kim Wingate - 6/29/2009

Question
My toy poodle is 12 years and has always had an issue where she will stop eating for a day, her stomach will whine, finally she throws up a bloody coloured substance and then is well again. Recently she has started to throw up a frothy white substance when she is having a bad day. Any thoughts. I don't want to do invasive diagnostics.

Answer
Hello Joan,
I would at least call your Vet about this and see what they have to say.  There could be a number of things causing this, anything from digestive problems to possible tumors.  You need to get this looked at or at least talk to a professional because this isn't normal.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help,
Thanks for using AllExperts.com,
Kim
