Question
I have a 3 month old toy poodle, who whimpers and bits his behind most times after pooping. He has had all his shots and has been de-wormed. Any ideas about what might be wrong?
Thanks.

Answer
Hello Kati,
It sounds like your puppy could have full anal glands.  You will need to take him to either his groomer or your Vet to have those glands expressed.  You might also have him checked for intestinal parasites.  He could have a case of worms and will need to be de-wormed.  If you take him to your Vet to have his glands expressed, you can have them do a fecal exam also.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions about him or other questions in general, please feel free to ask.
