Get a battery charger that you can plug into your cigaratte lighter hole to charge the car battery.  My 1998 Porsche Boxster always gets a dead battery after a week of no use.

I have a 1999 2.5 boxster and have found that this battery connectory in the fuse box does not exist on my year/model car. Having had the same problem with the battery i found the best way round it was to locate the hood release cable under the front driverside wheel arch (sits in a groove above the inner wing....can be reached by bending the plastic down a bit but not easy) and giving it a good tug. In my case this released the hood catch and allowed me access to the battery. Hope this helps :-)

There is also a cable located above the offside wheel arch fiddly but effective.
