Question
why do they foam at the mouth

Answer
Pigs foam at the mouth for many reasons. All pigs, old and young, male and female, intact and fixed, may foam.

Intact male pigs foam and drool constantly. Getting an intact male fixed will reduce the foaming.

Pigs may also foam because they are teething, or angry, or hungry, or smell food or are just thinking about food.
