Pot Bellied Pigs/leash training American Guinea Hogs

Question
I have two adult Guinea Hogs (newly acquired) that I would like to leash train. They are just getting to know me and associate me with food. Can adults be trained the same way as a baby? If they wanted to, I'm sure they could do a good job of dragging me around! They probably weigh at least 250# each. Have you had any experience with this breed?

Answer
I don't have any personal experience with guinea hogs, but they are swine so they should be pretty smart.

Try contacting John Vincent at tophogs.com He is a professional trainer with lots of experience training many different kinds of pigs, and other animals, too. He has a couple of dvds aimed at training pot-bellied pigs and may have some suggestions for you specifically about guinea hogs.
