About Mel Priddle
Expertise
For 50 years I have been listening to, buying and searching into the music of Elvis Presley. If you have a question relating to any song that Elvis recorded (officially, unofficially or privately), then I guarantee to give you an answer. Likewise with his movies. Questions relating to Elvis' private life I prefer to leave to others.

Experience
Ex-cinema manager, film publicist, record merchandiser, and Elvis music lover since 1955.

Question
Did Elvis ever record "Sweet Little Sixteen" with Jerry Lee Lewis?

Answer
Hello Frank,

Well, that's an easy one to answer...........No!

The only time Elvis ever recorded with Jerry Lee Lewis was at the informal Sun Studios session that took place on December 4th 1956, and "Sweet Little Sixteen" was not one of the songs recorded.

"Sweet Little Sixteen" appeared on the Jerry Lee Lewis album "Duets". It was performed by Jerry Lee with an Elvis impersonator, probably Jimmy Ellis (aka Orion). A rumour spread that Elvis appeared on some of the tracks on this album (this greatly helped the sales at the time), but this was not true.

Glad to be of help. Cheers........Mel.
