AboutTony Trout Expertise I can answer any questions relating to the career and life of Elvis Presley...ANY QUESTION!
Experience I have studied Elvis's music and life and career for over twenty years and I feel that I know most everything about Elvis that there is to know.
Education/Credentials I ateended high school until my Junior year but had to drop out due to abuse from the other students (I have Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus)
Question QUESTION: Hi! I commend you for your knowledge! My question: When Elvis died, that day, why did his girlfriend wait hours (if this is even true) to notify the guys downstairs? She called her mom! And, if found earlier by her, do you think he could have been saved?
ANSWER: Karen,
After Elvis went into the bathroom to read around 9:00 a.m. that morning, Ginger supposedly took a Placidyl (painkiller) to go back to sleep and didn't wake up until around 2:00 p.m. that afternoon (those things are THAT strong).
She did call her mother to discuss packing for the tour and that is supposedly when she realized that Elvis hadn't come back to bed and she went looking for him and found him.
There was no way he could've been saved by her, unfortunately, even if she had been in the bathroom when it happened. Elvis died between 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. that morning. A good (if believable book) to read is, "The Elvis Conspiracy?" by Dick Grob which details what happened that day - also, 'The Death Of Elvis - What Really Happened?" is also a good book to read.
Take Care,
Tony
Hope that helps!!

Follow up question: do you know what time he first said "I'm going to the bathroom to read".???
Thanks-
Answer Karen,
Elvis went into the bathroom to read a book (and it wasn't a book called, "The Scientific Search For The Face Of Jesus", as has erroneously been reported all these years, either) around 9:00 a.m. and (according to Dr. Nichopolous) he suppposedly passed away sometime between then and 11:30 a.m. so....he had been gone for a while before Ginger found him and called downstairs.
