Question Hello, have read in a book called 'Ten Cyclopedia' by Gideon Haigh that Elvis
Presley 'always wore a Christian cross, a Star of David, and the Hebrew letter
'chi', explaining that he did not want 'to miss out on heaven due to a
technicality'.
Is there any truth behind this quote?
Thanks so much for your time

Answer Dear Eloise,
Thanks for the interesting question. Elvis studied most every religion there is. He wanted to learn more about God and why he was who he was. Yes, that quote is very true. He did say that he didn't want to be kept out of heaven on a technicality. He also owned a beautiful a Chai, Ankh and a Ten Commandments necklace. A Maltese Cross, which was a gift from Linda Thompson, was a favorite of his.
The Chai pendant can be seen close-up in the video, "Elvis In Concert". After his death in 1977, some of his jewelry was sold or stolen. Most of it is on display at Graceland and a few pieces are in the hands of collectors. Replicas of some of these items are even available on Ebay.
For a close look at the jewelry just type in the words ELVIS JEWELRY in Ebay's searchbar. It's worth a look!
Thanks for your question, Eloise. I'm very happy to help you. Send me another question and I'll be happy to answer.
Sincerely,
James
