Subject: Lido deck Room
Question I am booked for a room on the Lido deck on the Princess cruise line and only a couple of rooms in front of the pool area.Am I going to be disappointed? Is it noisy?
Answer You will get a lot of traffic outside your door during the day, to and from the pool, but I don't think you will be disappointed. It truly depends on how much time you spend in your stateroom. During the evening, you'll find the traffic slows quite a bit, and should not be bothersome. You didn't say which ship, so I can't consider the specific layout, but most ships, have some buffer zone between the cabin hallway and the pool deck, such as a breezeway or double entry ways. This should provide some noise isolation. Also consider this, you could've been next to the disco which thumps well into the wee hours of the night. In my opinion, ANY stateroom on a cruise ship is far better than any room at home. Enjoy your trip.
Sincerely,
