Question
I have a Dell V305 Printer I just connected to my computer so I can scan some things for an assignment. When I ask it to scan, it says downloading application list and then a minute later it says it cannot retrieve the list. What should I be doing? Thanks.

Here is what I would do... I would... restart the computer and try it again... if that fails...
check usb cable... and try again... check any other cables and try again...
I would restart the computer and close all applications... and try again...
if that fails... open in safe mode and try again...
if that doesn't work... reinstall dell v305 software and try again...
if that doesn't work... download and reinstall software and restart and try again...
if that doesn't work... contact dell support...

keep in mind if this is windows 8 and you are using this software for the first time on windows 8 you are out of luck...

it will never work...
