Question
Hi Norman!

I have two computers, connected with a router. One is 10 years old, the other about 5 years old.
Working on the older computer (with Windows XP and Office Suite 2003), I use an HP841C printer.
Printing has been OK until today...

THE PROBLEM:Looking at a paragraph of five lines, the first and second lines have words missing on the left side of the page, the third, fourth and fifth lines are legible but with some of the letters missing parts letters such as d, g, t, and h);the missing parts are those either above or below the line.

BUT...when I print a TEST PAGE, the results are perfect!!
How can this be?

Your advice, please.

Thanks,

Chris

Answer
First step is to install the full feature software and attempt to use it to clean your printhead and flush the ink tubes... printheads get clogged and ink tubes harden... search for the software and instruction on hp support site via google and then try the user instructions below

If that does not work then you will need to buy a print head cleaning kit.

If that does not work... there are parts for this machine... but it would be cheaper to buy another machine than to repair it...
