Question
I've just started using my printer again after about a year of inactivity (I was busy in Iraq).. any how, I replaced a couple of the ink cartridges that appeared to be empty.  I did an alingmnet and nozzle check.  The reference sheet looks good for column A through G however there in nothing in the H column.  What color should that be, or what should I be seeing.  I suspsect that it shouldn't be blank, otherwise why put it there in the first place.

Answer
Hello Jim,
each driver for the various models vary and is very hard to tell what the line would be for. The important thing is does it work when you go to print. If so good.
One thing I must tell you is the Canon printers have piezo technology the ink flows through two micro screens it is important to run clean cycles after each use or they have a tendency to clog or burn the print heads out.
The Epson and Canons use this technology and usually do not store very well.
If you go away or do not use the printer for long periods of time your cartridges will dry up. I would remove them put good adhesive tape over the port hole and place in a cool dry place until you get back.
