Question We have tried to refill our cartridges for our HP 940c. It records the cartridge as empty and even when refilled the light blinks that it is empty and it will not print anything. We tried taping over the strip on the cartridge to "fool" the printer. No luck. What is the best way to do this.
Answer Do the taping but like many of the HP's when you run out of ink it records it much like an error. So you need to remove the error by the following:
1) while the printer is on unplug from the wall
2) wait 70 seconds or longer
3) plug back in and install as a new cartridge.
