I have installed all the necessary drivers for this printer but have yet to be able to get it to responde to any tasks put upon it? is there any diagnostic prog. that can solve this dilemma

Hello Robert,

Do the following:
1)Downlaod a trail program called System Mechanic
2)Run clean registry - clean all files that have no associations. What this does is remove from the registry any old drivers of printers that may still remain. If old drivers from another printer or a previous version this will corrupt the new driver you installed.
3)Reboot your system and load the latest driver matching your operating system. You can download it from the www.HP.com site.

This should fix your problem.
