Question
i have a lemark X1150. I had ran out of blk ink several months ago so the printer has been stored away in the closet,  i bought a refill kit and refilled the blk ink,  my computer automatical pick up on the printer that we added. But to be safe i reloaded it again and it updated it..... anyways, when i try to print anything, it goes through all the motions, but the paper comes out blank!

Answer
Hello Becky,
The problem is with the cartridge. The problem is if the cartridge sits with out ink in for a period of time the foam inserts will solidify and dry out the jets.
So the ink is not being absorbed by the foam inserts and when you go to print it will not flow through the jets. In other words this cartridge is no good. Another thing that happens if ink does not flow soon after printing the print head burns out much like a light bulb.
The best way to refill these cartridges is as soon as they show signs of running out of ink. Or you can refill them often thus you will not run out of ink.
Refilling a cartridge that has sat for periods of time. This practise is not recommended if the jets are not plugged leakage will occur due o the fact ink is not obsorbed by the cartridge sponges.
When refilling, if not often then you will need to allow the cartridge to sit in a saucer for 24 hours. This will allow the ink to be obsorbed by the foam inside the cartridge and then install. The reason you put it in a saucer is if there is leage it will be in the saucer no in the printer. Also be sure it is upright in the saucer as if you had installed in your printer.
