Printing, Bookbinding & Paper making/"Slipper"?

Question
Hello Diane.

Some (hardcover) books, especially the prestige ones, come themselves inside a kind of display or slipper-box--itself hardcover--a kind of "presentation sleeve".

Do you know what  they are called?

(Come to think of it, is it by any chance, a "slipper"?)

Regards,
Dan

Answer
Hi Dan:
You've got me stumped. The printed "paper" cover for a book is a jacket, so you might be right about the "slipper." I searched the web, in vain, as I'm sure you must have. Now you've got me curious and I'd love to know the name of the box, as I know exactly what you're referring to. I've always called it a "display box." Let me know if you find out.
