Private Investigations and Personal Security/Forensic Investigating

I am interested in possibley becomeing an investigator. I am interested in forensics. However, I do not know how to become an investigator. What would I need to acomplish to become a forensic investigator?

Well you would certainly want to pursue a college education in Forensic Medicine, Pathology, etc. Now you can also get into the field through a standard Investigator or Detective position with a Local, State, or Federal Law Enforcement agency but again, having a bachelor of science in one of those disciplines will help tremendously down the road.  Start checking with your State Police Lab, largest City Police Department near you (New York, L.A., etc.) and seek information from the FBI, DEA, ATF.

Good luck.
