Question
Hi.  I have always been very intrested in private investigaions.  I know it always helps to have some kind of law enforcement background but can you tell me the best degree I could seek to get into this field?  Thanks.

Answer
If you pursue a degree in Criminal Justice, Police Administration, etc., you would be fine.  The main thing with being a Private Detective is to gain experience.  This can be done without college through a local firm that hires/trains you.  We have a lot of very useful tips on this career in our New Handbook:
