Question
Noticed today that my driver's license was missing.  Checked everywhere and can't find.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska and when I got my license they were still putting SS#'s on them.
License did have wrong address on it, however.
What should I be doing, if anything?
My bank didn't seem to alarmed, but AK, in my opinion, isn't the smartest place on Earth.

Answer
Hi George,

I am actually based in Australia, but with the loss of your drivers license and social security number, I would be concerned about the potential for identify theft. It would be wise to contact your financial institutions and ask them to advise you of any unusual activity.  It would also pay to keep an eye on credit report requests.

I hope this helps,

Regards,

Rick
