Private Investigations and Personal Security/criminal actions

Would you help with this scene I am writing? The investigator notices that a murder was made to look like a suicide. The woman was made to appear as if she shot herself, but he notices something fishy. What could it be?

I know that you have dealt with crime and police work and thanks.

She could be left-handed and the gun was in her right...

The gun could be in an area that it couldn't possibly have traveled if she committed suicide....

The wound is behind the head which could be nearly impossible for someone shooting themseleves....

She could have been shot in the stomach which again, is not a common way to commit suicide....

She could have "defensive wounds" (scratches, cuts, etc.) about her forearms and hands.....
