Private Investigations and Personal Security/suicide?

can a person shoot themself with a shot gun and be found laying on their back with their arms crossed neatly over their belly?

Just about anything is possible regarding the use of a firearm during suicide.  The body can change positions completely, the arms/legs can twist and turn, etc.  During one suicide we investigated many years ago, the person used a pistol and apparently due to a reflex motion after pulling the trigger, the pistol was found nearly 50 feet away!  We initially felt it had to have been caused by another person but it wasn't.  One of the most important aspects of a suicide investigation that involves a firearm is the nature   of the entrance and exit wounds, along with gun powder residue which should often be on their hand and at the point of impact.
