Question
Who was the first man to coach the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Championship

Answer
The Lakers won their first championship in the 1949-1950 season, (which was the first season of the NBA by the way) But then they were called the Minneapolis Lakers. They were coached by John Kundla.

The Lakers franchise then moved to Los Angeles in 1960, but it wasn't until 1972 that the Los Angeles Lakers won a title. That team was coached by Bill Sharman.

So John Kundla was the first to coach the Lakers to a title, but Sharman was the first to coach the L.A. Lakers to a title.
