Question
Which pro golf tournaments are considered to be the majors, and when (what months)do they happen?

Answer
Dear Stephanie, thanks for the question.  Over the years on the PGA Tour, four prestigious tournaments have become known as Major Championships.  They are 1. The Masters, usually the 2nd week in April, always played at Augusta National, Augusta, GA.; 2. The US Open, usually the 3rd week in June and often culminating on Fathers Day, played at a different and very difficult course every year (as chosen by the United States Golf Assoc.;) 3. The Open Championship (aka: The British Open) usually the 2nd or 3rd week in July also played at a different course every year (chosen by the Royal & Ancient Golf Assoc. of Great Britain;) and finally, 4. The PGA Championship, usually the 2nd or 3rd week in August, and too, played at a different course (chosen by the PGA, Professional Golf Assoc.)  These are the big ones that every pro covets.  Good luck and remember...

Love the game,
Skipper
