Question
This may sound odd, but to get into the masters tournament in Augusta, what do you have to do? It is called an open, but it seems like normal people couldnt play in it. Is there some kind of huge entrance fee? Just something I would like to know.

Thank You

Answer
Dear Garrett, thanks for the question. The Masters Tournament, played every April in Augusta, GA is actually an Invitational Tournament, and not an Open.  The Host club, Augusta has a certain criteria for whom they decide to invite.  Some of the requirements include being in the top 50 in the world, or having won a PGA, Asian or European PGA Tour event in the past year.  The committee reserves the right to invite whomever they choose.  Once invited, there is no fee, and in fact, players are treated with the utmost honor and luxury.  Good luck and remember...

Love the game,
skipper

ps...check out www.Masters.org for additional history etc.
