Question
Recently, a friend was disturbed of a story of a recently deceased pro golfer who "he says" is going to be awarded the congressional medal of honor for golf. Does this ring any bells for you? I cannot find any such story!

Answer
Dear Carrie, thanks for the question. This does ring a bell. Recently President Bush signed a bill presented by Congressman Michael Burgess to award Golfer Byron Nelson with the Congressional Gold Medal (not the Medal of Honor)  This was awarded much more for his philanthropy than his stellar golf career.  Below I've listed some relevant links to check out about the announcement as well as the award.  Good luck, thanks again and remember...

Love the game,
