Question
Is there any relationship between level of significance
eg. LSD and correlation eg R squared?
Thanks.

Answer
Interesting question. But, I am not sure about the scenario you are talking about. Does LSD stand for Fisher's least-significant-difference test? If so, it is used to control multiple comparisons. R2 can be a measure of goodness-of-fit for regression. R squared tend to increase as the number of independent variables increase.
Does significance mean high R squared? No.
