Problems using AOL - AOL 9 Startup speed

Expert: Solomon David - 5/4/2007

Question
Hi -

I am helping a person with AOL 9. They have a newer laptop, plenty of memory(768), windows xp and cable internet.

The laptop is fast UNTIL AOL 9 loads. It takes upwards of 2 minutes to load AOL 9 and then it's still slow for another 2 minutes or so.

I have uninstalled the AOL spyware, AOL AV and security center in Favor of Symantec corporate and that has helped with the overall machine speed, but AOL is still SLOW.

Thanks for your help.

Answer
try running spyware
