AboutSteve Expertise Expert knowledge in AOL versions 5.0, 6.0, and currently using 7.0, 9.0, if there is a problem within any area i can usually come up with a fix or know where to get it.
Experience Have been an AOL member for almost 10 years and have suffered thru some of the problems that come up daily.
Education/Credentials Bachelor of Science in Business Admin with a minor in Accounting
Question I tried to log on to AOL 8.0 version and said there was a error. Could not go online so I installed old software AOL 5.0. In Checking my Address Book and Favorites - no longer existed. Please help me get it back. Should I just try and download AOL 8.0?? Will this restore my info?? I no longer have software 8.0 CD with me.

AOL 5.0 IS WAY TOO OLD!!!!!! First, delete temp files, clear cache, clear history, then uninstall 5.0. Re-boot the computer, then do a search on line for AOL software 8.0, re-download and everything should be there. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck.
