AboutSteve Expertise Expert knowledge in AOL versions 5.0, 6.0, and currently using 7.0, 9.0, if there is a problem within any area i can usually come up with a fix or know where to get it.
Experience Have been an AOL member for almost 10 years and have suffered thru some of the problems that come up daily.

Question Hi Steve, my problem is that having cleaned up my pc by reinstalling the OS. I had saved all user names, passwords etc. needed for all programs, IM's etc. but when I reinstalled AIM I can't log in!!!! not on AOL either, both tell me that the screen name or password are in valid... then when I go to forgotten password option, it tells me that my information does match their records!!! it's very frustrating and I can't seem to get my account back... PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks, Dave :)

sorry you are having problems. You can try totally uninstalling the AOL software.Then re-install and it will ask if you are a current account holder,say yes and use same passwords etc...If you try that it should work, let me know and good luck!
