Question
Normally when I connect to AOL my cpu shuts all the way down then reboots its self.  What can I do to stop this.  I know its not the modem just chsnged it.  But I loaded Aol 9.0 onto someonelses cpu and it did the same thing.

Answer
hi,
sorry to say, it is AOL that is messing up your computer. You  need to uninstall it, delete temp files, clear cache, then re-boot. If you really have to have AOL, either use the free version which is web based or try and get version 8.0...good luck!!
