AboutSteve Expertise Expert knowledge in AOL versions 5.0, 6.0, and currently using 7.0, 9.0, if there is a problem within any area i can usually come up with a fix or know where to get it.
Experience Have been an AOL member for almost 10 years and have suffered thru some of the problems that come up daily.

Question Reformatted and restored computer after trojan virus. Got a new voyager 190 modem from aol and the broadband and aol 9 software. Only lets me sign on as a guest. Have used help line but their suggestion to use the autofix programmes and 3 types of fix for ACS didn't work. Your quick restore solution doesn't work. I've removed the software and reloaded a new copy of aol 9. Still the same problem. I'm only able to sign on as a guest.
Answer delete ALL previous versions of AOL. Re-install, and follow where it says you are a current subscriber. If possible use 7.0 or 8.0 as 9.0 is very problematic. Let me know how that works..Who told you to quick restore?? That will not corret the problem. Good luck, STEVE
