Question
Hi Sergio,
I am a 14 y.o. Centre Back/Left Back, i have just returned from Trials in England and l was successfully called back for 2 teams. I have been warned that l may not be allowed due to FFA having the right to NOT give me "international clearance" l do not understand this.  I have had trials for FFV rep teams and l was not selected. I have tried many Melbourne Pathways and not been chosen. The same boys from the previous year seem to always be chosen.  Can FFA really stop me from playing?  I just want to play great football and not be caught up in any political agenda!!!

Answer
Dear Tony,
Unfortunately the FFA can reject an ITC (International Transfer Certificate) based on your age and new FIFA Regulations pertaining to minors. This may occur even if you have an EU passport.

Regards,

Sergio Garcia
