Property & Casualty Insurance - Expired P&C License

Expert: Thom Brooks - 10/26/2009

Question
I am considering going back into the insurance field; however, my P%26C license has been expired for almost 3 years now.  Is there something I can do to get my license reinstated, or will I need to take the course over again?

Answer
Megan, hello!

You need to contact your state's insurance department.

In Georgia, you have to repeat the school, take the exam and get a company to sponsor you after your license has been expired for one year.  If there is an exception, you can request them to consider any waiver but most of the time, it's back to school!!
