You can gather contacts with companies by talking to other local independent agencies. They can advise which of their companies are most competitive and willing to appoint. All companies have marketing reps. that know how many appointments they're allowed in your area.
I do not know your current companies, nor your business plan, but you can contact companies like ALFA out of Montgomery, Alabama, or Farmers Mutual, Grange, Safeco, etc. They will give you their requirements.
There is a consortium of companies that agencies buy into, where they offer many major companies in exchange for a share of the production, but I can't remember their name. I'll be in touch with an agency this month and get their name. Contact me at CompnyBiz@aol.com and we will talk again.
