Jay - your response is like music to my ears! Please know that your time is much appreciated and its such a relief to know that the common homeowner with little knowledge in such matters have a resource and its free, too!  I have since written an email to the management group citing Statute 718.111 (including the shower pan - might as well try and see if I can get that covered, too) and also referred to DBPR Declatory Statements. I did not include your name but did cite FAIA as a resource.  Again, thanks very much and as the situation gets resolved, I will keep you updated.
