Question hi, iam idrees from kashmir and iam 17. i have a very good memory but from past 7 monthes i am suffering from the following brain problems.
1. i almost know the name of something (especially one word) but i cannot spell. as deeper i go for the search as far it goes from me. but amazingly the word comes suddenly on my tongue when i dont need it some other day or the same day.
2.i feel confused while handling the money or money exchange calculations although my mathematica is very good.
3. while reading loudly i cannot concentrate on reading between the lines or the meaning.
4.my focus on recalling has deteriorated.
5. my one word or name of person recalling problem is very severe. plese help.
6. my other problem is that i always fail to mention or recall the one thing while mentioning or recalling many things. i do forget one and only one but mustly. i dont know why.
7.when i search the dictionary with many things in my mind. after searching a few i forget what were the remaining words to find the meaning of.
this problem is very much experienced by me.
plese answer my following questions.
1. can it be due to the lung problem (neumothorax)
2. can it be due to the mild ear hearing problem
3. can the heat stroke or fatigue relate.
4.can it be due to the usage of body building drugs such as amino acids.
5. what could be the other causes and the disorders of brain.
6. is it a common problem when a person becomes freak or becomes pre occupied with some particular special interset and hence remembers the things related to his field only and neglects his friends and other interests due to which he forgets their names etc etc.
plese answer my questions atleast briefly as i badly need help.

Some of the problems you describe are quite normal and most people have limits to their ability to recall. It is possible that your problems go beyond that, but this is something that could best be determined by a psychological evaluation and possible memory testing. I don't know if you have access to such services in Kashmir. Such problems would be unlikely to result from the medical causes you mention, though fatigue certainly impairs memory. Some memory problems are part of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), a syndrome that can be treated with medication.
