Psychology - is there an easy test?

Expert: Robin MacFarlane Ph.D. - 10/28/2009

Question
Dear Robin,

I wonder if there is an easy test i can conduct to test how faithful or loving somebody is, or even whether the person in question is in love with you?
Like some test about strawberries.. "if you are really thirsty in a wood, then you see a field of strawberries, is there a fence around the strawberries? would you eat them or not? how many would you eat? how do they taste?

In the end the strawberries stand for relationships and cheating.

Thanks for everything,
Nathan

Answer
Dear Nathan,

There's no easy test to determine how faithful or loving somebody is.  The best way is to have an honest talk with the person, and ask them about their past.  Have they been unfaithful in the past?  Have they ever been in love or, if not, do they want to find a meaningful realtionship?  Having a good, honest talk is probably the best way to find out.  Good luck, Robin
