Subject: Publishing question

Question
I've got 6 or 7 short stories in second draft, and a couple in first draft still. I've also got a handful of flash fiction pieces and 30 or so poems. I'm interested in publishing a book. I don't want to pay for it myself, but I'm not  interested in huge distribution so much as just going through the process and seeing a final result produced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Dear Trent,

Congratulations on all that output!

If you're looking to see a collection in print and don't want any financial outlay, the only option I can see is querying small-press publishers to see if one is interested. (Writers Market is a good source.)

Alternatively, if you just want to make your work public and are not attached to printed form, you might consider e-publishing. You could create an e-book and make it available as a download; you could post your stories on others' web sites or on sites specifically designed for writers; and/or you could set up your own web site and post them there.

Whatever you do, keep writing!
