Question
I apologize if this is not in your area...
Can you give me any links or resources to sale lyrics I have written?
Thank you.

Answer
Dear Leah,

See "A Special Note to Poets" in my online Publishing Guide at

www.fearlessbooks.com/PublishingGuide.html

In general, poetry is a very tough field in which to get published, as the potential audience is relatively small. That doesn't mean it's not worth writing poetry for its own sake, and it may be rewarding to publish oneself just for the learning experience.

I provide two professional services to poets and other writers, including manuscript assessments:

and Assisted Publishing. See:

best wishes with all your writing endeavors,

Expertise

I am an independent self-publisher who sold three projects to major New York houses before starting my own company. I provide editorial services to a major literary agency in Manhattan and work regularly with authors at all levels of expertise. I can answer questions like these: What does "independent publishing" mean? Should I publish myself or use a service like XLibris? What is "print on demand" publishing? How do I publish myself on the Web? What are the best resources for learning about publishing? How do I find a literary agent? What are my chances of getting published by a major New York firm?
