Question i have a friend who claims he isnt allowed back into new york city because he lost all his identification because the airline lost his luggage how much is an identification card at the puerto rico dmv is it 60 dollars can you please tell me how much it is im planning to send it to him ?
Answer Hola, Isaac.
I am unsure if you are referring to a driving permit issued by our Departamento de Obras Públicas. Is that is the case, the whole procedure would cost approximately $60, but it could be less if he just needs a duplicate, for which he must provide an affidavit ($20 to $30), a $5 IR stamp and two photos.
Check all the requirements in the following link: http://www.dtop.gov.pr/disco/conductores.htm
Also, Isaac, I would suggest that in the particular case of your friend, who I am assuming was born in Puerto Rico, he should get a Certificate of Birth and a duplicate of the Social Security card.
Saludos desde Puerto Rico, :)
