Question
Greetings,
My name is David and I am attempting to help out my Great Aunt Egla do some research regarding her family surname, but am having little luck.  The name is Urdaz (origionally I believe the spellng was Urdax).  She is interested in finding out the origins and meaning of the name.  If you can either provide me with some information regarding this topic or point me in the right direction to continue my search i would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks in advance and have a wonderful day.
Regards,
David

Answer
Hello David,

If you go to the website www.superpagespr.com and select the residential listings, you will be able to find everyone with the Urdaz or Urdax last names.  From there, perhaps you could show the list to your Great Aunt to see if she recognizes any names, or if anyone with the same last name lives in the same town she is from.  Finally, a quick phone call should be able to find out if anyone is related to her.

Other than that I would suggest looking at genealogy websites on the internet, or for example, the Mormon Church, which has a huge genealogy section.  I don't know of any genealogy resources in Puerto Rico.

Good luck,
