Puerto Rico/inheritance

Question
Hola, nancy! read your profile. I know you are not an expert in this but frankly didn't know where else to turn for a reliable source. I have inheritated property in puerto rico last year. I have since obtained titles (not in my name yet) birth certificates social security numbers etc.
I have procured all the necessary documents.  He is my issue. I'm trying to find a reasonable priced lawyer. All ones I have called charge anywhere from $10,000 on down to a $1000.00  I feel like I'm going to get taken advantage of. Please if you have any suggestions or refferals I would greatly appreciate it.

Respectfully,   LH    NYC

Answer
Hola, Lisa.
In your case, my suggestion is that you contract someone in Puerto Rico that can provide you with all the services you need with the inheritance process.  Not only for the legal services required, but for any visits to governmental agencies, documents, certifications, CRIM, etc.  You will have a reliable person doing all the work you need until the property is duly registered in the Property Registry.
You will get more information in the following link:

It is my pleasure to be of help.
Saludos desde Puerto Rico,
