Subject: fawn puppy color

Question
Hi,

Are fawn puppies born with a lot of black hairs in their coat? does the color lighten up as they get older?

Answer
They usually stay the color they are born with. It is common to have a black trace down their back. Also, it depends on if they have a black pug in their bloodline. Two fawns can have a black puppy.

Most pugs any more tend to have more black hairs in their coat. Not a big deal.

Thanks and good luck.
